No. I’m sorry but no thanks. I stopped reasonable discussion, and compromise a long ago. With the recent snafu with Dick Metcalf and his odd anti-gun editorial in the latest issue of Guns and Ammo I thought putting my stance out there for everyone to digest would be a good idea. If you would like to read what Dick wrote click here.

As I started with I am not the reasonable type and I feel as gun owners we can’t fall into the trap of national dialogue and reasonable discussion. For some reason some gun owners feel the need to be reasonable and open towards the anti-gun side and want to come to the table and have that discussion or national dialogue we hear about so much from the mainstream media. Little do these gun owners know they are falling into a trap, the same trap Dick fell into. People like Dick feel that if they come to the table and show that gun owners are able to listen the people on the other side of that table are going to understand and be satisfied with just conversation. WRONG! Gun owners have been reasonable for far too long.

Every time we have a reasonable discussion the gun owners tend to be on the losing end of the outcome. They come to the table thinking “this will be the last time the Antis ask for anything. If we just give a little compromise everything will be ok.” We have given in little by little thinking this is the last peace offering we will have to make. Don’t believe me? Lets talk a little history.

  • 1791 the Second Amendment was Ratified. Twenty-seven beautiful words that guaranteed the right to keep and bear arms to every American.
  • 1934 The National Firearms Act was put into place due to the gangster culture brought about by prohibition. This law famously eliminated automatic weapons along with short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, and suppressors. Transfers of such weapons were subject to $200 fee and subject to the Treasury Departments approval.
  • 1938 The Federal Firearms Act was approved by Congress forcing anyone involved with selling firearms to obtain a Federal Firearms License from the Secretary of Commerce. This also required the new FFL’s to record the names and addresses of everyone they sold guns to.
  • 1968 The Gun Control Act was brought about after the assassination of JFK. FFL’s were required to keep even more detailed information along with forbidding sales of handguns across state lines. The major change came in the outlawing of purchasing rifles and shotguns through mail order. (Lee Harvey Oswald used a mail order rifle in the assignation of JFK)
  • 1972 The ATF was formed
  • 1986 The Law Enforcement Officer Protection Act stopped the manufacture and importation of “cop killer” bullets that could pierce body armor.
  • 1990 The Crime Control Act established what we now know today as “Gun Free Zones” in schools and the stopped the assembly of illegal semi-auto rifles and shotguns with legally imported parts.
  • 1994 the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention act placed a mandatory 5 day waiting period and background check on handguns until Nov. 1998 when the National Instant Criminal Background Check (NICS) went live. The law stated all new firearm sales are subject to a NICS background check.
  • 1994 The Violent Crime and Law Enforcement Act, commonly referred to as the “Assault Weapon Ban,” made the manufacture, possession, and importation of new semiautomatic assault  weapons and large-capacity ammunition feeding devices for  civilian use illegal.

How about that for compromise and reasonable? We go from “shall not be infringed” to illegal for civilians to possess. I bet there was a lot of gun owners that thought the same as Dick Metcalf on the other side of the table when each of those laws were penned.

How about a more recent example of a reasonable discussion? Anyone remember Colorado and the dialogue that happened there? That is what happens when we open the door for reasonableness. If you don’t remember how it went just picture a one sided conversation with a senate majority leader telling his senators to ignore their constituents. Colorado is what happens when we have national dialogues and compromise. All the laws above came from compromise!

See? I told you I’m unreasonable. I don’t compromise. When it comes to my rights there is no compromise. Every time we have reasonable compromise we see another crack or a chip fall off of the foundation of our Second Amendment. Don’t be fooled into thinking we need to be reasonable. If you start thinking that way, come back to this post and read the middle part to remind yourself we have already compromised enough.

Shawn Corey Carter has become quite the outspoken political commentator lately making appearances at the lavish dinner parties hosted at the White House and has attended rallies held for Trayvon Martin. Most people reading this right now are thinking “who is this guy?” and that is understandable. Shawn is better known as the famous rapper and hypocrite, Jay Z.

Jay Z has been bff’s with our commander and chief for quite awhile now dating back to Barry’s first run at the White House back in 2008. Any time Barrack Hussein Obama takes a stance his bromance isn’t far behind to quickly agree. Obama’s stance on same-sex marriage, for example, was quickly followed by Jay’s approval.

Recently the HOV did an interview with a hip-hop journalist. He stated that he “didn’t sleep for two days…” after the verdict was handed down sending George Zimmerman free. He went on to give us an amazing insight on how Stand Your Ground Laws work.

“You can have a fight with someone and they’re running way [sic], you can shoot them and kill them and you’re fine? What?! Come on. Come on, man.”

Hmm, weird. Last time I checked that isn’t at all how stand your ground laws work but maybe J doesn’t know that?  It seems that Shawn has a bit of a checkered past when it comes to violence and maybe this is why his view on the stand your ground laws are a little fuzzy?

Now comes the fun part of today’s article. Let’s touch on the hypocritical aspect of our President’s buddy. Besides starting to deal crack at a very young age, at the age of 12 he shot his brother for stealing a piece of his jewelry. Weird. He was never prosecuted and his brother never pressed charges. This might be what is blurring the meaning of stand your ground laws for Mr. Carter.

In a message taped for Jay Z’s Made in America festival the POTUS said,

“To me, the idea of America is that no matter who you are, what you look like or where you come from, you can make it if you try. Jay-Z did it. He didn’t come from power or privilege. He got ahead because he worked hard, learned from his mistakes and just plain refused to quit. That’s what ‘made in America’ means.”

Made in America? Shooting your brother at the age of 12 is working hard? Maybe he at least learned from his mistakes like his bro said? Wrong. In December of 1999 Jay was picked up by police in New York for stabbing a record executive in the stomach with a 5″ blade. He first pleaded not guilty but eventually, in 2000, he changed his plea to guilty receiving only 3 years probation. I guess I would be against stand your ground laws if I went around stabbing folks with knives too.

Surely it stops there? Not really. It actually stops after you have a an arrest at the age of 16 for possession of crack, followed by at least one arrests on gun charges.

Now I know I am coming down hard on our President’s buddy and I will be the first to admit we don’t really know of him shooting anyone other than his own brother. I say there is a lot you can tell about someone just by looking at the company they keep and I have to say that our great leader isn’t setting the bar very high. It seems if we look closely at the most anti-gun president in U.S. history’s friends it is pretty telling.

Pass this around the next time you see this dynamic duo pushing for some more reasonable gun laws, or partying it up in the White House on our dime to let people know exactly the level of hypocrisy.

The reprehensible George Zimmerman finally came out of hiding today to look for another minority to gun down but his plans were thwarted by a rolled over SUV with a family of 4 trapped inside. So George does what any mainstream media super villain would do…. he saved them? Wait, wait, wait, so George Zimmerman might actually be a good guy? Yup. On the contrary to the way the mainstream has painted this guy he selflessly helped a family trapped after a vehicle rollover accident.

Obviously my first sentence is heavily saturated with sarcasm. I haven’t said much about the trial mainly because it was what everyone was talking about and I didn’t want to add to the ever going commentary on the matter. If you want some of the best coverage you can find on the subject you need to head over to Legal Insurrection. They have been my go-to for all the info surrounding the trial.

I do want to add that if anyone attending the pro-Trayvon marches and rallies think that the Black Panthers, Jessie, Al, Obama, or Holder (mainly all your typical racial pot stirrers) were hoping for a guilty verdict, you are bat shit crazy. These men are set to make piles and piles of money off the downtrodden and oppressed they claim to represent. Over 100 rallies are planned, speeches are being booked, and money is being donated to “the cause.” I just thought I needed to toss that in there in case someone who normally wouldn’t read my posts runs across this article because of my tongue-in-cheek title. Oh and btw you aren’t alone. You should be happy to know that Iran is on your side. Congrats!

We could cover how the Department of Justice had put a hold on all the evidence making it impossible for George to get his Keltec back.

Or how our president somehow thinks that a Harvard graduate and a crack smoking wannabe gangster are somehow similar 35 years ago.

Or maybe even touch on Holders speech to the NAACP about “Stand Your Ground Laws.”

Or touch on the multiple death threats a gun store owner has received for just mentioning that he would help Zimmerman out with getting a new gun.

But obviously those  are already over-done, so the only thing for me to do is just close this out and ask you that you head over to the Facebook page and give me a like. There are plenty of pictures and conversation to be had. Also, stand by for a pretty cool announcement coming in the next week or two. I hinted at it awhile ago but things were slowed down by forces outside my control which is another reason I have been absent more than I would like lately. Thanks for reading and stopping by. If you have an idea on an article you would like me to write or questions you can contact me at the Facebook page, there is also a contact tab at the top, or you can simply email me at I would love to hear from you.

Small Arms For Syria

The New York Times is saying the Obama administration has decided to arm Syrian rebels with small arms. Im assuming there will be background checks, waiting periods, and a complete registration of each and every firearm just like they want for us here in America right?

Yesterday I briefly touched on the news that two Ricin laced letters were sent to Mayor Bloomberg and his pet anti-gun group MAIG. Today the rabbit hole gets a little deeper. The secret service just announced that they intercepted a letter headed to the President that was similar to the ones delivered to Bloomberg and the MAIG office.

It is safe to say that us gun owners and pro-Second Amendment supporters should be ready to once again have the burden of blame placed square on our shoulders for the acts of another lunatic. Don’t think that this will be used to once again to make a push for control because they need every bit of help they can muster. With the emotional sting of Newtown practically forgotten in America’s fast paced memory they need another boost. They have already told us that this isn’t the end. Biden is saying Senators who voted against the Manchin Toomney bill are coming around and Mark And Gabby, the gun control duo, have themselves a new foundation aimed at “responsible solutions.” This isn’t over, just wait and see.

Well sometimes it sucks to be right all the time. Expect to be back in the poitical trenches really soon. You can’t make Biden cry on camera and expect there not to be some backlash for it. We will find out what his plans are soon the way it sounds. My guess is he will try some executive order on magazine limits or background checks.

We keep hearing how the victory in the senate was such a great achievement but do we really know why? Have you thought about why this is that defining moment? I have a few thoughts I want to get out there and see if you agree.

Gun ownership in the last 5 years has skyrocketed, so much so that the FBI is claiming that every minute that Barack Hussein Obama has been in office there has been 32 guns purchased. That is a mind-blowing fact. Since February of 2009 there has been 70,291,049 NICS checks performed. Let’s look at this another way. How many people just in this year alone have gone out and purchased their first gun? Why do you think we are seeing an ammo shortage? Our market is being flooded by people who are picking up their first gun and making sure they grab themselves a box of ammo to go along with it. Add that to the guys who are like me and actually shoot 1 to 2 times a week regularly and it’s no wonder we are seeing a drought.

Let us move back to why this is a huge win. The gun grabbers know that every day that passes by there is more people investing into the Second Amendment. Like we said earlier, 32 gun purchases a minute and many are first-timers. Those first time buyers are now fully invested both emotionally and monetarily. Before it was no skin off their ass if there was a ban on a specific firearm since they didn’t own any. But now they are part of our group and they know that the smallest insignificant infringement on our rights is entirely too much.

We are no longer the silent majority, we are everyday becoming the overwhelming majority and the anti’s know that. This was their defining moment and they may never have another chance like this again. They had the perfect chance with the emotional tide, media, and the number of seats all in their favor. They went all in and demagoguery failed while constitutional rights prevailed. That my friends is why it was a defining moment.
