…or for the people who don’t vote the right way on gun control issues.

It seems the D.C. police chief once again was willing to turn a blind eye on possessing restricted items in our nations capital. The first instance came when David Gregory showed up on set with a 30 round box magazine. The most recent instance involves a rather well known anti-gun senator. Senator Diane Feinstein held a high profile press conference at the beginning of the year and somehow managed to get a wall full of firearms that were restricted inside the city. How did she manage to do this you ask? After a Freedom of Information Act request was filled it turns out that that Washington Metropolitan Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier is willing to allow the rules to be bent and even managed to provide a few extra scary items to help give the presser a little more flare.

Not only did the Metro Police help with acquiring the props, they tried to cover it up all while refusing Republican Senators Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham to bring rifles to a Senate Committee hearing regarding the same proposed legislation that Feinstein was pushing in the press conference.

Ironically enough Senator Feinstein was actively pushing for more and stricter laws while completely ignoring the ones in place. Once again laws are only for the people who obey them and those people aren’t criminals or anti-gun politicians.

Laws are for the little people, the commoners like all of us. Even thought the law in D.C. states “No person in the District shall possess, sell, or transfer any large capacity ammunition feeding device regardless of whether the device is attached to a firearm” Mr. Gregory walks among the free. The D.C. attorney general Irvin B. Nathan released a letter stating his reason not to pursue charges on Friday December 11th. In the letter Nathan goes on to state “Influencing our judgment in this case, among other things, is our recognition that the intent of the temporary possession and short display of the magazine was to promote the First Amendment purpose of informing an ongoing public debate about firearms policy in the United States, especially while this subject was foremost in the minds of the public” Well isn’t that great! Since it’s an important subject pertaining to the country I think we need to have a “Million Magazine March” in D.C. since it’s our First Amendment and Second Amendment rights and all.

But what does “among other things” mean? Well turns out old friendships die hard. What happens when someone out of our class is caught possessing a scary “high-capacity magazine” like the one Mr Gregory flashed all over national tv? Well we should ask Nathan Haddad.

This goes on to once again prove that there are two types of laws in this nation, one set for the rich and powerful, and another set for the not so privileged like us. Stories like this make the name of my blog pretty fitting!

If you haven’t heard the news David Gregory on Meet The Press waved around an empty 30 round magazine on national TV. Not a big deal right? Well it wouldn’t be if your filming studios weren’t in Washington DC where you have some of the strictest gun laws in the country.

Our staunch anti-gun advocate friend David violated one of the very laws he intends to push onto all of the rest of the nation and it is imperitive that he pays for his crime. He ABSOLUTELY needs to feel what it is like to be on receiving end of the ignorant laws he pushes so hard for. But will justice be served?

Of course NBC is coming out stating Mr Gregory has a get out of jail free card (literally) from the ATF but the DC police are possibly saying other wise. The article in Politico here tries to spell out the situation. The DC police say they have an investigation ongoing so I believe it’s safe assume if they haven’t charged him with anything yet it is unlikely anything will come out of it.
