When I started reading this I was waiting for disappointment. The further I read I was pleasantly surprised as to how well this article was written. It is long but I feel you should give it a read.

Finally some unbiased journalism….

What did you think? Put your opinions in the comment area below.

I thought long and hard about if I actually wanted to link to this blog and bring him more traffic.  This is gonna piss you off when you first read it. Just remember I warned you.

I thought about sitting down tonight and dissecting this whole article but decided against it. The comments pretty much sum it up for me as I’m sure it does for you too. I only wanted to post this to prove my point that the “anti’s” have their own narrow scope they view the world through. It is evident when he claims that companies will flock to Colorado because of the safe haven they are creating. Keep dreaming buddy. Tell that to Chicago and Detroit. This is what we are up against folks.

Now admit it, the second time you read it you laughed a little didn’t you?

From Magpul’s Facebook:

We are proud to announce that within a matter of days we will be going live with a new program. Due to a bill currently moving through the Colorado legislature, there is the possibility that Colorado residents’ ability to purchase standard capacity magazines will soon be infringed. Before that happens, and Magpul is forced to leave the state in order to keep to our principles, we will be doing our best to get standard capacity PMAGs into the hands of any Colorado resident that wants them.

Verified Colorado residents will be able to purchase up to ten (10) standard capacity AR/M4 magazines directly from Magpul, and will be given immediate flat-rate $5 shipping, bypassing our current order queue.

Our customers outside of Colorado, please know that our PMAG production will continue at an ever-increasing rate until we do relocate, shipments to our distributors in other states will continue, and that we do not expect relocation to significantly impact PMAG production. We are also aware that Colorado is not the only state with existing or pending magazine capacity restrictions; we are working on programs for other affected states as well.

Full details and instructions will be announced when we are able to go live; please watch here for the coming announcement.

I know that there is a few readers from Colorado so I urge you to take advantage of Magpul’s offer. Don’t forget your favorite blogger either I’m sure he could use one for a future giveaway…….. 🙂

Pandora’s Box

I was lucky enough to have been able to visit Greece and Turkey in my younger years. Before going I was able to study some greek mythology to prepare myself with some history of what I was going to be seeing. One of my favorite stories was the one of Pandora’s Box. I feel I can take this myth and apply it to today’s situation on gun control.

Today we face an opposition that I perceive as circling a modern-day Pandora’s box. Gun control is something they are striving for but don’t really know exactly what is going to happen if they peek into the jar. The closest example we have is gun free Chicago. With nearly 60 murders just shy of 2 months into the year you could really say that this resembles all the evils in the world, right?

But also just like Pandora the anti-gunners really have no idea what they are messing with. I’m in no way shape or form advocating for violence, but a large number of columnists and bloggers alike think that if there is a complete all out confiscation it will be met with civil unrest. Here you can find a small survey of 755 people, at the time of this being written 75% of those surveyed believe it will lead to some form of violence. But it is not just the violence that they don’t understand, it’s the companies like Magpul willing to take their millions of tax dollars to more gun friendly states.

What else could lie in the bottom of the box? In the story, Pandora closes the box after all the evil escapes trapping nothing but hope inside. I, for one, don’t believe that there will be any stopping once the gun laws start flowing. They are leading us full throttle towards the very slippery slope of all things unconstitutional. If they can make one constitutional right null and void what is next? Once the second amendment falls which will shortly follow?

I have made the call before that we need to stand together, sport shooter and hunters alike. We need to keep in mind that this administration has done nothing but divide this nation. They have driven a wedge between rich and poor, working class and unemployed, and now further separated the pro-gun and anti-gun advocates.  But we cannot let the media or this president drive a wedge through our base and pit ourselves against each other. How many times have we heard that Feinstein’s proposed assault weapons ban exempts hunting firearms? This is just a divide and conquer technique to get the hunters to think they don’t have a dog in the fight. I’m here again to remind everyone that this is all our fight. Even the smallest chip off the foundation of our second amendment right is just the beginning. “Give them an inch and they will take a mile.” There is no compromise to this debate.

The ends of this debate are so far apart and the parties are so polarized that there can be no gray area. Let them have nothing, and make sure your representatives know this. Keep writing your representatives. This is the anti-gunners last stand and they are throwing everything at it. They know this is the best chance they may ever have again to push through their agenda. Stay vigilant and stay strong because we are in for a long brutal fight. It is easy to feel drained and think to yourself “well 15 rounds isn’t so bad.” DO NOT COMPROMISE. When you feel that way I invite you to swing by this site. I feel it my job to keep my readers motivated and I will continue to pound the war drum and wave the flag that says don’t tread on us. Keep your head up and remember we are not the minority, and if the box of anti-gun evil is opened we might not be the silent majority much longer.

Massad Ayoob’s take on the remarks made by our VP about just discharging a double barrel straight up in the air to scare away intruders.

He brings up a great point that I completely forgot about even though it was literally down the road from me.  The Amish girl story he was talking about can be found here.

Finally getting the pictures up from the first giveaway. There was mistake on my behalf but it got to her and she is obviously happy about it.

Another satisfied Absolute BS reader!!

More swag than you can handle!!!!

There was about 9 pounds of stuff. You can see why I had to mail stuff from Vegas home.

Well maybe she wasn’t excited about everything in the prize….

Long story short on these items we went out late one night and my camera crew was wondering what the guys on the corner were handing out. After a few beers we decided that some hooker calling cards needed to go into the giveaway. The underwear came from one of the models after I jokingly mentioned the pic was for my wife to prove I was being good while in Vegas. After the photo she handed me a pair of underwear from her pocket. After long consideration I decided they too needed to be in the giveaway.

Congrats again to the winner! I hope you can find a good home for all your new stuff. If you want to send me some pictures later of some cool places you decided to stick them send them on to me. I’m sure everyone will be excited to see how you decided to use them all.

Thanks for reading and subscribing,
